Hello Fifth Graders!

I hope you are enjoying your summer. My name is Mrs. Beaulieu. I will be one of your fifth grade teachers this year. I have been very busy this summer, splitting my time between the lake in New Hampshire and Burlington. I have also spent several days, at Pine Glen, setting up the classroom. The first day of school will be here soon! As much as I hate to say good-bye to the summer, I am excited to get the new school year started.

I have a few items to share with you before the big day. First, you don't need to go back to school shopping for supplies. I have already purchased just about everything you will need in the classroom. For each of you I have several pencils, pens, markers, highlighters, crayons, colored pencils, sticky notes, ruler, glue stick, scissors, folders, several single subject notebooks and pencil box. If you already went shopping keep your supplies at home. Keep them in one place so they are handy for you to use. You will need them to complete homework assignments.

Second, if you would like you to donate a box of tissues and disinfecting wipes - (not baby wipes) to the classroom it would be greatly appreciated. These items are always needed and can be sent in any time during the year.

Lastly, please make sure you eat a good breakfast before coming to school. Our daily schedule is very busy. We have a new start and end time at Pine Glen.  School will begin at 8:35. We start the day with music, art or gym, followed by science/social studies, math, extension block, then lunch.  We have been assigned the last lunch at 12:05. If you feel a snack is necessary for the morning, remember to bring a healthy snack. No junk food or candy.  After recess we will have ELA. Dismissal will be at 2:40!
